Graduate and Undergraduate TESOL
Certificate Programs
Both professional certificates in the TESOL Program address the full range of situations for teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in the U.S. or abroad.
Graduate TESOL Certificate:
The Graduate TESOL Certificate focuses mostly on the training of ESL/EFL teachers for adult second-language learners of English who are at adult schools, private and public colleges and universities and intensive English programs. It consists of 24 graduate units, and is primarily aimed at those who are pursuing or already have a master's degree in a related field (e.g., in linguistics, English, composition and rhetoric, foreign language, American studies, or some other area of education).
Undergraduate TESOL Certificate:
The Undergraduate TESOL Certificate mostly focuses on the English language development of children and youth in school-based public or private settings in the U.S. or abroad. It consists of 18 undergraduate units.
The Undergraduate TESOL Certificate will serve as an excellent foundation for any students who later decide to pursue the MS in TESOL or Graduate TESOL Certificate .
