Incoming Freshman Orientation

All incoming HSS First-Time Freshmen must complete two components this summer to prepare for their Fall 2024 semester: 
 
1) Complete either an in-person or online Orientation, which you will sign up for on the

Titan Orientation Programs website. 
 
AND
 
2) Attend one in-person major advising and fall course registration session with advisors from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. These sessions are from 12:30pm-4:30pm. You will be able to select one of the dates that your major is listed below:

If you sign up for an in-person Orientation session, you will be automatically signed up for the in-person major advising and fall course registration session occurring on the same date and no further steps will be needed. If you sign up to complete the Orientation online, you will then need to also sign up for an in-person major advising and registration session.  
 
Details on how to register for both the Orientation and the major advising and fall registration sessions will be emailed to your CSUF email in mid-May. 
 
Reminder: The major advising and fall registration sessions are for HSS major students only. No guests will be allowed in with the student due to FERPA Privacy Laws and limited seating availability.[AS1]
