Kim Pham was born to advocate. Whether on behalf of others or for her own beliefs, Kim is never silent when it comes to addressing the dire challenges her generation has inherited. 

Kim Pham graduated magna cum laude from CSUF in January 2022 with a double major in Asian American studies and communication studies - with an emphasis in journalism. Beginning in 2019, she found her niche at the Daily Titan Newspaper, where she served in multiple editorial roles and as the Distribution Manager in her senior year. In this latter role, Kim blended community-building and leadership to spearhead community-university partnerships with 20+ businesses and public organizations to distribute the Daily Titan throughout the city of Fullerton. Additionally, she served as staff writer and designer with Tusk magazine and earned first place for print design from the Associated Collegiate Press in 2021. Kim’s considerable involvement with the Daily Titan garnered multiple awards for Social Justice Reporting, COVID-19 coverage, and newspaper design from the Associated Collegiate Press and the California Newspaper Publishers Association in 2020 and 2021. 

Since 2019, Kim has served as an Arts & Culture Reporting Fellow and subsequently as an Arts & Culture Contributing Writer for the Voice of OC, Orange County’s non-profit newsroom. Kim’s short-term goal is to continue gaining professional knowledge and experience to enhance her contributions and impact in the media industry. More importantly, her long-term goals are to adv
ocate for social justice and systemic social change by highlighting the cries of marginalized voices through her stories and to champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles in her workspaces
