We are so incredibly proud of you and all you have accomplished! Despite a global pandemic, you persevered and made it to the finish line. Your passion, grit, and commitment to older adults brought you to this moment. As you look toward the future, we are confident that you have what it takes to succeed – in gerontology, and in life. Congratulations!

Deborah Morse

Candidate for Master of Science in Gerontology

In 2016, at 54, Deborah began her educational journey to discover her purpose and a new career path. Diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2018, Deborah’s positive attitude and enthusiasm for life have given her the strength to persevere through cancer treatment while earning first her Bachelor of Science in Human Services, Magna Cum Laude, and now her Master of Science in Gerontology. Undergoing several surgeries for a paralyzed vocal cord just a couple of years ago, Deborah is now speaking at Commencement. Deborah is living proof that it is never too late to fulfill your dreams.
