STUDENT SPEAKER
Christine Hoo is the 2023 Department of Asian American Studies Outstanding Graduate and the recipient of our prestigious Craig and Claire Ihara Award. She is graduating from California State University, Fullerton as a double major, with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies, Concentration in Asian American Studies. With a passion for Asian American history and identity, Christine plans to pursue a Ph.D. and become an Asian American Studies professor. Her main interests revolve around multiethnic and multiracial identity and the experiences and psychological impact of the internment camps on Japanese Americans during World War II.
