LTAM 100 Introduction to Latin American Studies
Description: Introduction to the salient features of Modern Latin America from an interdisciplinary perspective, emphasizing social, political, economic and cultural trends. Key historical moments, institutions, peoples, cultures and issues are investigated in order to appreciate the diversity of Latin America today.

LTAM 105 Introduction to Central American Studies in the U.S.
Description: Introduces students to the interdiciplinary and intersectional field of Central America within a U.S. context Explore the cultural, social spiritual and political histories of pre-Columbian indigenous communities in Central America to the present. (CHIC 105 and LTAM 105 are the same course.)

Description: Prerequisite: completion of General Education Category IV.D.1. Interdisciplinary examination and discussion of the history, geography, peoples, and major issues of Latin America from pre-Colonial times to the present.

LTAM 350 Mexican Life and Culture
Description: Prerequisite: completion of General Education Category IV.D.1. Introduction to Mexican culture and civilization. Contemporary Mexican society with focus on social, political, environmental, cultural and historical issues. Requires travel to La Paz, Baja California, Mexico and will only be offered in summer or intersession. Letter grade or credit/no credit. (LTAM 350 and CHIC 350 are the same course.)
