H&SS Grant Release Time Reimbursement Policy
The H&SS administration recognizes that the types of grants available to H&SS faculty generally have low or fixed funding limitations. In an effort to maximize external grant funding for faculty, H&SS has implemented the following policy for grant funded release time:

H&SS has its own guidelines
for submitting grant proposals. The university timeline policy
has been incorporated into our guidelines. These guidelines were established to ensure faculty have the needed resources and support for their project and to facilitate on-time, compliant, and competitive proposal submissions.
CSUF Policies & Procedures
There are several policies and procedures
in place to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal requirements. Though they may initially seem as a burden, these policies are in place to protect CSUF faculty and administration.
Procedures for Applying to Foundations
All private sponsor and foundation grants (including letters of intent) must be cleared through University Advancement before moving forward. Clearance is provided on a first-come first-serve basis, therefore it is crucial to let the H&SS RGS know about your intent to apply as soon as possible!
If another faculty member on campus has already been cleared to apply to the same opportunity, you may have to wait until the next grant cycle.
