Events

Our engaging classes include opportunities for field trips and community-based learning.

We like to get out in the environment that we are studying, including through an 

  • August welcome-back walk led by an interdisciplinary group of faculty
  • October and April clothing swap on campus, in partnership with the Fullerton Fashion Club and CSUF’s Sustainability Office, in order to serve students’ needs, reduce the environmental impact of fast fashion, and share the joy of sustainable community.
  • Annual ENST program trip to the CSU Desert Studies Center at Zzyzx
  • Capstone project presentations in May for our graduating students, open to family, friends, and fellow students.

Many ENST students also do research at CSUF’s U-ACRE Learning Farm and Apiary

ENST students join events through the OC Association of Environmental Professionals, CSUF’s Sierra Club, and CSUF’s Environmental Justice club. 

In recent years, some ENST students have chosen to study abroad in Austria, Costa Rica, Italy, Indonesia, and Norway. CSUF also often offers “Study Away” programs at Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks and at CSU’s Desert Studies Center.
