Study Abroad in Norway
Summer 2026
The Norway Study Abroad Program for Summer 2026 will engage you in an educational and cultural journey where the cities of Oslo and Bergen serve as the context for exploring Norway’s history, society, and natural landscapes. Through guided tours, site visits, and excursions, you will learn about Norway’s Viking heritage and contemporary culture while experiencing its world-class museums, parks, and historic urban centers. Through the program’s activities and experiences, you will explore themes of history/culture/nature as you cruise the Oslofjord, ride the renowned Flåm Railway, hike to Mount Fløyen, and enjoy a classical music performance at Trollhaugen, the home of composer Edvard Grieg.
Study Abroad in Greece
Summer 2027
During this summer study abroad program, students will explore modern Athens, visit significant sites and museums in central and southern Greece, and engage with civic society organizations to understand how Greece, as a modern nation-state, is continually reinventing itself. Activities will include visits to the Acropolis and a tour of Athens’ vibrant street art scene, allowing students to witness the evolution of Greece's history in the built environment. Trips to important historical sites like Delphi, Olympia, and Sparta will further enable students to reflect on how identity and culture are constructed globally, encouraging them to question the narratives they have been taught about their own identity and history.
Study Abroad in Taiwan
Winter 2026/2027
The Taiwan Study Abroad Program for Winter 2026–2027 will engage you in an educational and cultural journey where the city of Taipei serves as the context for exploring Taiwanese history, society, and contemporary life, while excursions to Tainan and Kaohsiung provide additional perspectives on the island’s regional diversity. Through excursions and site visits, you will learn about Taiwan’s diverse religious traditions, examine the influence of Chinese, Japanese, and Indigenous cultures on modern Taiwanese society, and gain insight into the development of human rights and civil society. Through the program’s activities and experiences, you will explore themes of identity/tradition/modernity as you discover Taiwan’s unique blend of cultural heritage, art, technology, and food culture.
Study Abroad in London
Spring 2027
The London Semester for Spring 2027 will engage you in an educational journey where the entire city of London serves as the context for your academic study, taking us into London’s cultural and historical museums and landmarks, its governmental structures and agencies, and its ethnically diverse neighborhoods. Through the courses in which you enroll, you will be invited to examine identities/cultures/histories you bring with you and those that you will encounter during your semester in London.
Study Abroad in Berlin
Summer 2027
Berlin served as the capital of Hitler’s Nazi empire, became ground zero of the Cold War, and stands now as a bustling, multicultural metropolis filled with immigrants and expatriates from all over the world. A city that consciously preserves its tumultuous and often dark past while actively defining a new present and future, Berlin is an ideal site to study histories of nationalism and fascism, ideological conflicts over democracy, capitalism, and communism, and debates over the promises and challenges of today’s multiculturalism. This program will draw on the rich cultural and historical resources of the city of Berlin to explore these broad and enduring themes. Students have the opportunity to meet with historical eyewitnesses who lived through Germany’s tumultuous 20th century while also experiencing Berlin’s world-famous contemporary cultural scene.
