How did you get my information?

The way your information was obtained varies based on which project was conducted. For most projects, we obtain your information via publicly available sources. Otherwise, your information is provided by our client.

What will you do with my information?

Your information will be used for research purposes only. No personal information will be shared and all survey responses are kept confidential to the extent permitted by law.

How can I verify the study I was contacted for is legitimate?

You may contact our Director, Laura Gil-Trejo, at (657) 278-7691 or lgil-trejo@fullerton.edu with any questions, comments or concerns about the project.

Who do I contact for any questions about my rights as a research participant?

You may contact Grace Amaya, Cal State University Fullerton's Regulatory Compliance Coordinator, at (657) 278-7719.

Do you have a number I can call back?

You can contact us at (657) 278-9397 and leave a message. Please include your name, the number we contacted you at, the project you were contacted for and the time you would like to be called back. We will do our best to respond promptly.

Do I need to be 18 years of age or older to participate?

In general, research participants need to be 18 years of age or older. Parental consent is required for cases where the participant is under 18 years of age.

If an organization wants me to participate in a study, why is the SSRC contacting me?

Our center conducts the research for each client. Thus, we contact you on behalf of the organization that contracted us.
