A pathway for future Latinx humanities scholars through a humanities-focused summer institute for students and the rebuilding of our curriculum to emphasize skills in analyzing Latinx stories and crafting one’s own stories.
A mentorship program, Escritores Promotores (writing advocates), between Chicana/o Studies faculty, CSUF graduate students and undergraduate students.
An online digital hub and archive focused on disseminating Latinx stories and experiences beyond our campus and local communities. This hub and archive will house original content such as virtual creative storytelling workshops, Chicana/o Studies podcasts, a Latinx Literary Journalism Database, and a Chicana/o Studies virtual historical timeline commemorating our 50+ years at CSUF as a department founded and grounded in social movements.
Multiple on-campus research symposia that support our Latinx humanities faculty to create and share new research in underdeveloped topics in the field of Latinx Studies such as Jotería Studies and Latinx Recreation and Sports.
Together these projects in our Latinx Lab will help our students empathize with other peoples’ stories as well as create and share their own.
