Academic Notice Support

What does Academic Notice mean?

Academic Notice is when a student’s Cumulative and/or CSUF GPA falls below 2.0. The student’s academic status is then moved from Good Academic Standing to Academic Notice.

What is Academic Disqualification?

An undergraduate student who begins the semester on Continued Academic Notice is subject to academic disqualification at the end of the semester when the student's Cumulative GPA falls below the specific minimum disqualification level for their class standing. For information on Academic Disqualification (https://www.fullerton.edu/academic-advising/tools-resources/academic-disqualification.html)
The HSS Student Success Team and your department academic advisors are here to support students experiencing challenges impacting their academic success at CSUF. To best do this, we require students to complete three steps each semester they are on Academic Notice/Continued Academic Notice:

  1. Complete the HSS Academic Notice Information Session Workshop
  2. Mid-Semester Academic Advising Check-In: Check your CSUF email for outreach from your academic advisors to complete this requirement
  3. Complete the RESET Canvas course.
