Get The Low Down On The Digits!

By Andrea Cooper

Like the poet Stacy Dyson says you are woman 724365.  You are a woman 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.  In order for you to be your best there are a few more digits you need to add to your memory.

Ø      0…This is the number of cigarettes you should smoke.

Ø      1…Pap test each year if you are 29 or younger.

Ø      2…Times a day you should brush and floss your teeth.

Ø      7…Hours of sleep nightly, at least.

Ø      10…Seconds to stop and think about messages given to you and to think critically about them.

Ø      16…The age you can learn to drive responsibly.

Ø      18…The age you can contribute your vote to operating the country.

Ø      24…Hours a day you should love yourself for who you are.

Ø      30…Minutes of daily exercise for a healthy body.

Ø      45…When women report greater life satisfaction.

Ø      60…Minutes in the golden hour that can mean life or death in a trauma situation.

Ø      79…In 2000 the life expectancy at birth of a woman.

Ø      100…This is your glucose maximum.

Ø      120/80…This is your highest healthy blood pressure.

Ø      200…The maximum number of total cholesterol.  HDL is the good cholesterol and LDL is the bad cholesterol.  A healthy diet and exercise should help keep these numbers in check.

Ø      365…Days a year we are bombarded with media messages on how we should look and feel.

There are some things that digits can’t help you with and that is being true to yourself and who you are and being at peace with those in the world around you.
