WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR THE WEB SITE PROJECT

 

  1. look at the content

a. will drive the aesthetics of the page

 

  1. Create good aesthetics’

 

    1. use pictures
    2. columns
    3. bulleted text – link a link to a longer explanation
    4. create a storyboard

1.      must have consistency – organized easily

2.      graphics and columns with content underneath – look at Bredin web site for example

3.      create avenues to move between the pages – what the story board is to demonstrate

a. ask Bredin how to create the storyboard for the web page

       3. Mechanics

                 a.  files

                        1.  need names of files and the rules to be able to name the files

                                    a. use initials for every file

                                    d. use numerical ordering for the files

                                    c.  can not have spaces for the file name – it will not show up on a server

                                    d.  no caps or spaces

                 b. codes

                        1.  need at least 5 pages

       4.  Need contact information

                a.  email address/need name on the work

                b.  need a date on the page to be able to know how old the information is

                c.  need to make clear that the assignment is a class assignment
