To be human is an amazing experience. As human beings, we have many opportunities that other animals will never be able to experience. As humans, we can communicate, gain knowledge and learn, become intimate and in love with one another, participate in society through politics or work at the top of a major corporation and many other activities and opportunities to take part in. Some can argue that all other animals can communicate and learn just as we can. The difference is that we question these sort of things, like what the definition of a human is. Why do people care so much of what the difference is? That itself may be the definition.

Along with being human, we are also gendered humans. People are born a different sex and that is what they are born with. To be gendered, that is how the person portrays their sexuality in society. A working business woman, presents herself very professional. She wears a business suit cut and made for woman, wears make up, high heels and carries a briefcase to work. She is woman and respected, and to her co-workers and society, she is seen as a modern woman who stands up for herself. There are also women who portray themselves as beautiful, sexual women. A woman is lying on the beach, nude, with photographers around her. It is obvious that she has had some plastic surgery done to her and she loves it. She thinks and knows that she is beautiful and has power over others. With her sexuality, she can lure men into doing what she wants and has power over those who succumb to her sexuality. Along with wearing skirts and make up, or jeans and a baseball cap, we can change our gender and dress and act like what we want, however we are born into a sex, and that we can not change.

Human beings are capable of many feelings. Hate, love, happiness, sadness, emotional, sad, tired, lonely. There are many feelings and emotions that we have. One of the most powerful, is love. Love is a feeling of happiness and security, being with someone who you might give your life for. We have a great ability to love and care for another human. Love begins in a friendship with someone, then as friends, they could start to date. Dating someone could then get serious and a more intimate relationships begin to form. Some couples choose to marry and have children, while others choose to live together and not get married. When you are in love, you may feel so much for the other person that you want to spend all your time with them and that you would do anything for that person.

Power is something humans crave. Having power is not easily attainable. There are many different types of power. There is political power, educational power, career power, sexual power, authority and law power and many other types of power. Human beings have the desire to be powerful because it means that they have many different types of authority over others. Being politically powerful, one can make decisions that could have a drastic effect on the world. Someone who is at the top of a major corporation has power over the employees and has power over how the company is run and the choices they make.

As human beings, we make these types of choices. Power, love, and the ability to question. Through history, all races and genders of humans have become more equal. Because of this constant change, humans question it, oppose it, and study it. What is the real definition of a human being? Any animal can love and have power in its respective area. We as humans choose to question this and get an education that forces us to ask this question and write a web essay on it.
