  • Cover Sheet (signed)
  • One Faculty recommendation
  • One Emergency Contact form
  • CSUF- Release of Liability
  • Personal Conduct Agreement
  • A photo copy of the picture page of your passport
  • Part 1 (CSUF) of Application (signed)
  • One page (500 word) essay: "Why I want to go to South Africa and how this will contribute to my education and personal growth"
  • CSUF-Class Registration Form
  • $950 deposit

Complete applications will be reviewed within 2 weeks of receipt and participants notified via email of their acceptance into the program.

  • A .jpg head shot for NMMU student ID (use the same as the attached to Part 2 of the application)
  • Itinerary including departure dates from U.S. and arrival back in the U.S.
  • Please note: Transportation from the airport in Port Elizabeth to NMMU will only occur on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at a predetermined time (TBA). Students are highly encouraged to coordinate their flight arrival times in Port Elizabeth

Eligibility

You must be a CSU student in good standing with an accumulated 2.5 GPA or better and have accumulated at least 30 units of college credit. All majors are welcome!

You must have a valid U.S. passport for the duration of the program. This process usually takes about 4-6 weeks, so plan early to apply for one.
