Study Abroad Student Ambassadors
Periodically the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (H&SS) has opportunities for students who have participated in past study abroad programs to share their experiences with students who are considering study abroad. The student ambassador will:
- Recruit students for H&SS study abroad programs through classroom presentations, use of social media, organized meetings, and personal contact with students.
- Describe their experience studying abroad at the H&SS study abroad information meetings and campus study abroad fairs.
- Assist the H&SS study abroad coordinator with various projects
This position requires strong public speaking skills and the ability to use presentation software as needed. Past participation in H&SS study abroad programs is required. The ideal study abroad ambassador is self-directed and enthusiastic. The time commitment is approximately 50 to 60 total hours over the course of the first 3 months of the semester. This position pays $8–$10 an hour.
