InterClub Council

Members of the 2012-2013 ICC

What is the ICC?

ICC stands for the InterClub council.  As part of Associated Students, the HSS ICC is the funding council for academically related student organizations and scholarly events in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences..

What does the ICC do?

The ICC is dedicated to the growth and support of graduate and undergraduate education, research, public service, and professional development.  We are responsible for disbursing funds from ASI to you!  You can apply to the ICC for money to cover the cost of presenting at research conferences, to pay a guest-speaker to talk to your group or club, or to fund some other club activities.  We strive to promote Cal State Fullerton and its students within the national and international academic community.

Who do I talk to if I want to get funds from the ICC?

Each academic department and program must have an active, regularly participating representative in order to petition for financial support.  If you aren’t part of a specific club, but are looking for funds to attend a conference, you can usually have the ICC representative for your major’s club petition for you.  If you have questions about the process or don’t know where to begin, you can come speak with us in H-112, the ICC office.  Our campus extension is x2826.

What’s going on this year with the ICC?

This year, we want to make HSS a dominant icon in the academic community, to get our students out there doing more conferences, extra-curricular activities, and getting really involved on-campus and off.  We can’t do this without the participation of HSS students, so please get involved!   We also want to be a larger presence at campus events, such as HSS Week, the 50th Anniversary Celebration, and the Titan Week of Welcome.  We’ll be out and about all year, promoting the HSS College and its students!

If you would like to improve your communication skills, learn more about various fields and provide a valuable service to your department or program, look into serving as your major's HSS ICC representative.
