Alina Mircea-Trotz

Director of Development

Alina Mircea-Trotz was named Director of Development for California State University Fullerton's College of Humanities and Social Sciences in June of this year. Her first official day with the University was August 1st. Alina brings to the University thirteen years of fundraising experience in Orange County, having raised over $9 million since 1999.

Prior to her position with Cal State Fullerton, Alina served as the Director of Development for Pacific Chorale. During her eight-year tenure at Pacific Chorale, Alina raised over $7 million, increased contributed revenue by 85%, increased endowment contributions by 10%, created and implemented a planned giving program, assisted in growing the Board of Directors from 12 to 28 members and directed a million dollar capital campaign for special projects. Dedicated to educational institutions, Alina also served as the Orange County High School of the Arts' Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, raising over $1,000,000 in corporate and foundation gifts.

Alina has served on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Board and as Co-Chair of AFP's National Philanthropy Day. She has guest lectured at Hope International University and Cal State Long Beach, and has presented at conferences throughout the nation. She enjoys employing a values-based fundraising philosophy and assisting individuals with leaving a legacy for future generations.

Alina holds a Masters in Public Health and a Bachelors of Science in Community Health Education, both from Cal State Long Beach. Born in Romania, Alina now lives locally with her husband and two children.
