Mission Statement
Alpha Kappa Delta is derived from the Greek words Anthropon, Katamanthanein, and Diakonesein. The translation is the purpose of AKD: "To investigate humanity for the purpose of service."
Meetings
Meetings take place every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Sociology Department Conference Room CP-925 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Membership Requirements
Undergraduates:
- Must be an officially declared Sociology major at CSUF.
- Must be at least a junior by CSUF standards
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.0
- Must have a 3.0 GPA in sociology courses taken at CSUF prior to initiation.
- Must have completed at least four courses in sociology prior to initiation (exclusive of extension or courses graded pass/fail).
Graduates:
- Completion of one half year of graduate study in sociology (i.e., one semester or two quarters or the equivalent academic unit)
- Graduate GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Continued matriculation in a program of study leading toward a graduate degree in sociology at CSUF.
