Brief biography: My name is Patricia Literte, and I received my Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Southern California in the summer of 2007. My dissertation focused on the changing ways in which college students conceptualize their racial identities and organize around issues of role in the post-Civil Rights era. I also examined the institutional responses to these changes. Prior to arriving at CSUF, I taught at El Camino College, California State University Long Beach, and for Upward Bound.
