Brief
biography: I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California at Riverside, upon conducting fieldwork and completing his dissertation on Chamorro identity in Guam in 1997. I was previously an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Guam in the late 1990s. My teaching and scholarly interests include race, ethnic and indigenous relations, Pacific Islander studies, critical race pedagogy, postcolonial theory, delinquency.. Some of my published work appears in Deviant Behavior, Ethnic Studies Review, Amerasia, Pacific Studies, Social Science Quarterly, and Social Identities.
