Brief
biography: My first post-baccalaureate degree was a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I was a social worker for several years before I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology, also from the University of Southern California. My areas of emphasis were family and gerontology. I trained at the Andrus Gerontology Center at USC and was awarded a pre-doctoral fellowship from the National Institute on Aging. My research interests have revolved around the father since completing my graduate work. I have been awarded several intramural grants here at CSUF for my research. At present, I am the Internship Coordinator for the Department of Sociology and will be the Graduate Coordinator starting in Spring 2008.
