Berna Torr

Teaching interests: Sociology of Family, Population, Statistics, Research Methods, Applied Research

Research interests: Marriage, Parenthood, Family Structure, Migration, Race and Ethnicity

Brief biography: I received my Ph.D. in Sociology in 2005 from Brown University, where I was also a fellow in the Population Studies and Training Program. Prior to joining CSUF, I worked as a demographic researcher at the RAND Corporation and at the University of Minnesota Population Center. In addition, I have extensive experience in applied demography and survey research.

My research interests focus on demography and the family and some examples of my work include:
