IT Training Schedule
The University provides training for all faculty and staff. A variety of training formats exists to meet your needs. Most classes are offered in person but some are available online or on-demand. IT training focuses primarily on enterprise applications and desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe CS and Acrobat Professional. Lynda.com Online Training
CSU Fullerton has partnered with Lynda.com to offer unrestricted access to their computer software learning library. Lynda.com has thousands of online videos and tutorials to help you learn any number of software packages. Not only do they offer thousands of lessons on how to use software but they also teach on topics such as time management and how to run meetings. To enhance retention and learning each video lesson is broken into short easily digestible 5-10 minutes sessions. Accessing Lynda.com is as easy as logging into the portal. Security Blog
Stay up on what happening in the security world by reading the blog “Security News”. Penned by the campus’s very own Dale Coddington, he helps keep us aware of all the security threats and attacks that are pervasive in today’s world. Check it out here. H&SS Computer Classroom Guides
Teaching in one or more of our nine computer classrooms? Need to know what equipment and software is available? Each room is equipped with state of art hardware and classroom technology. In addition all of the computers are preloaded with the most commonly used software. H&SS IT can provide a detailed list of all the software, hardware, and A/V equipment in each room. Please note any software requested to be installed in the computer classrooms must be made 4 weeks prior to the beginning of any semester. A valid license must be presented for any software requested that the campus does not already provide.
