H&SS Equipment Check Out

Equipment Check OutThe College provides an assortment of A/V and computer equipment for short term check out. Employees that need to borrow equipment for meetings and events either on-site or off-site can choose from a number of LCD projectors, digital cameras/camcorders, and laptops. A consent form must be signed prior to check out. To find out what is available and to reserve equipment faculty and staff can contact David Luu (x4671). Reservations should be made in advance to ensure equipment is available.

 

General Use Classroom Equipment

CSU Fullerton has 188 general use classrooms that employ innovative instructionally related technology. This equipment is maintained and support by Audio/Visual Technology Support which is part of the campus’s central IT division. Faculty that teach in one of these general use classrooms have access to a computer connected to a projector, a VCR/DVD combo and an input for a laptop. Each classroom PC comes installed with the standard campus software. A complete list of software can be found by visiting their website.

The campus is in the middle of major classroom refresh project. Soon all general use classrooms will be modernized to include an interactive projector and digital document camera. The makeover also includes new classroom furniture, whiteboards, and a fresh coat of paint. Visit their website for more information on obtaining keys, for training, and all other inquiries. Video Conferencing Capable Rooms

H 219Located in H-219, the College provides HSS faculty and staff access to a conference room equipped with a video camera that utilizes Skype to allow video conferencing with colleagues from anywhere in the world. All that is required to conduct a video conference is a web cam and a computer with Skype installed. This state of the art conference room features an interactive projector along with a second projector installed allowing viewers to have an unobstructed view from any seat. Designed to accommodate a variety of group sizes, the room can easily fit 25 people in a round table format or the furniture can be arranged to adjust to any size group.

H-219 Dean’s video capable conference room is accessible by reservation only. Please contact Sharon Hagar (x4885) to put in a request. Reservation requests are subject to approval by the Dean. Faculty or staff whom plan on using the video conferencing equipment are asked to make an appointment with HSS IT (x3200) for training at least three days in advance. H 612Located in H-612 on the newly renovated floor in Humanities and Social Sciences building is a video conferencing capable seminar room. Maintained by the Psychology department this room can comfortable seat around 20 people and was created to support instruction and department related events. This seminar room boasts a 60 inch flat panel LCD display, a Blu-ray player, and conference table complete with hookups for power, data, A/V and laptops connections. A Crestron wireless remote system allows for full control with a touch of button. To find out more contact Terry Jones (x3562). You can also contact the Psychology department office.

Media Conversion Services

Media ConversionNeed to preserve the material on that aging VHS tape? Find it too difficult to find a VCR on campus? H&SS IT can help. We have equipment that can copy content from tape to DVD. Providing no copyright laws are infringed, we would be happy to provide access to the media conversion equipment. After this process you will benefit with the ability to use any standard DVD player and computer equipment with a DVD player to view your content. To learn more contact the David Luu (x4671).
