College Computer Classrooms by Location

The College of H&SS provides several multi workstation computer classrooms specifically for instructional use. These facilities offer advanced audio visual equipment and state of the art computers. The seating capacity ranges from 27 to 40 student workstations. Each computer classroom offers the most current version of software used on campus. Faculty scheduled to teach in any of the computer classrooms that need to use software not already provided should make those requests no later than 4 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Specific questions about lab configuration settings need to be directed to H&SS IT no later that three weeks before the beginning of the semester. Modern Language Lab

H-325Located in H-325 and H-325c this 40 workstation computer lab is managed by the Department of Modern Languages. This facility provides language instructional software used by courses taught in the department. Faculty teaching in the MLL lab should submit software requests to Andreea Martin (x4032) no later than 4 weeks prior to each semester. Software requests submitted after the deadline is not guaranteed to be available at the beginning of the semester. The use of this lab is restricted and reservations are made by contacting the MLL office. This lab is staffed by students whom can handle any language software related question. H&SS Computer Classrooms

H-326ALocated in H-326a, this is one of two computer classrooms available for general use in the College of H&SS. This 27 computer station classroom is arranged in the traditional front of the class facing rows. Each H&SS computer classroom is equipped with a ceiling mounted project, instructor station with computer control and monitoring software, and campus standard software. A high capacity network printer and server for students to temporarily save course work is available. Click here for a computer list of the current hardware and software. All other inquiries should be sent to Andreea Martin (x4032) Software requests need to be made at least 4 weeks prior to each semester to ensure availability in the classroom. H-512 Located in H-512, this is one of two computer classrooms available for general use in the College of H&SS. This 36 computer station classroom is arranged in columns with students facing each other. Each HSS computer classroom is equipped with a ceiling mounted project, instructor station with computer control and monitoring software, and campus standard software. Remote Sensing Lab

H-419Located in H-419, the RS teaching lab was made possible through a NASA grant and is currently maintained by the Department of Geography. This 15 seat state of the art computing facility features state of the art remote imaging software, high end Dell workstations and dual monitors. An interactive smart board was recently installed. Geographic Information System Lab

H-422Located in H-422, this recently expanded 30 station computer lab features large 24" monitors and two high capacity printers. Created to support Geography courses, this lab is equipped with the latest GIS software. This is an open lab restricted to Geography majors. English Writing Computer Classroom

H-526Located in H-526, this facility boasts an array of high tech teaching tools such as an interactive smart board and a 50" interactive LCD display. Recently renovated with funds provided by the VPAA office, this 28 stations wireless lab is configured in clusters to promote student centered learning and engagement. Laptops are provided at each workstation and a built in compartment allows them to be stowed away when not in use. Click here for a computer list of the current hardware and software. Psychology Computer Classroom

H-603Located on the recently renovated 6th floor in H-603, this computer classroom is equipped with 34 workstations, an interactive smart projector, and virtual laboratory software. A high volume black and white printer is also available for student use. The room also boasts computer furniture that allows the ability to stow away the monitors providing a completely useable work surface. To make a reservation please contact the Psychology department. Psychology Graduate Student Lab

H-607Located in H-607, this open lab is restricted to graduate students majoring in psychology. Eighteen high powered computers sit on oversized computers tables providing plenty of room to work. A dedicated high capacity printer is available. A psychology graduate student is available to provide support on department specific software that is installed. College of HSS and College of NSM Shared Computer Classroom

MH-44Located in MH-44, this 32 seat computer classroom offers the same technical amenities as the refurbished general use classrooms, which include a document camera, interactive smart projector, and large capacity printing. Since this is a shared lab between two Colleges, classroom availability varies by semester. This instructional computer classroom is maintained by the University ILC. Keys are not issued. To access the room faculty must have staff from MH-47 open up the room. They will also lock up after the class is over. Contact Sharon Hagar (x4885) to make reservations. Ethnography Cultural Analysis Computer Lab

MH-422Located in Anthropology department in room MH-422, this 28 station computer classroom provides access to department specific software and GIS mapping tools. This computer classroom provides instructional support to Anthropology courses taught. Faculty teaching must submit software requests no later than 4 weeks prior to the semester to Anhhoa Lu (x5969).
