VIOLENCE

37th Annual Philosophy Symposium

The 37th Annual Philosophy Symposium will be held March 8th and 9th. This year’s topic is "Violence". Keynote speakers include Nancy Sherman (University Professor of Philosophy at Georgetown University), Thomas Hill, Jr. (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill), Claudia Card (University of Wisconsin, Madison), Pau Kjellberg (Whittier College), and Wanda Teays (Mount St. Mary's College). The entire program can be found on the 37th Annual CSUF Philosophy Symposia page

The Annual Philosophy Symposium--a tradition that dates back to 1971--brings to campus each year leading philosophers from throughout the country and provides students with an unprecedented opportunity to meet, hear, and respond to principal scholars active in philosophy today. No other event at Fullerton represents the efforts of the Philosophy Department to combine its twin missions of educating students and pursuing scholarly research than the Symposium.

More information about past symposium can be found on the Past Symposia page. For additional information, contact Professor Craig Ihara.
