DISAGREEMENT IN ETHICS AND EPISTEMOLOGY

41st Annual Philosophy Symposium

John Davis is faculty organizer for this year’s symposium. The 2011 topic is "Disagreement in Ethics and Epistemology." We’re honored to announce a very distinguished group of presenters:

Richard Feldman, University of Rochester
Thomas Kelly, Princeton University
Brayan Frances, Fordham University
Sarah McGrath, Princeton University
Folke Tersman, Uppsala University
Christopher McMahon, University of California at Santa Barbara

The 2011 symposium will explore connections between recent work in disagreement epistemology, work in social philosophy on reasonable disagreement, and (depending on the presenters’ interests), perhaps deep disagreement and the argument from disagreement in ethics -- or related topics. The symposium will take place on April 14th and 15th, 2011.

More information about past symposium can be found on the Past Symposia page.
