Information for Students at Other CSU Campuses

I had a wonderful time and an unforgettable experience. The Cal State DC Program was a springboard to my winter internship with the California Legislative Rural Caucus and - hopefully - for the Sacramento Fellowship Program after I graduate.

Although our Cal State DC Program is operated here at CSU Fullerton, it is open to students from all CSU campuses. Advantages of working through our program include on-site classes and faculty, receptions, a speaker series, housing with other CSU students, guidance in finding internship opportunities, and direction in establishing a Cal State DC club on your campus. Furthermore, our program is thousands of dollars less than some other DC programs.

Application Procedures

Much of the process is the same for students from other campuses as it is for students from CSUF. Interested students need to complete the application form used for all students and submit it to CSUF College of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean's office. Financial assistance from our program is only available to CSU Fullerton students. However, if you already qualify for financial aid you may be able to use it just as if you were taking classes on your home campus. Contact your financial aid office for more information. Furthermore, by establishing a Cal State DC club on your campus you may be able to apply for grants on your campus to help with some of the costs such as the IRA grants often administered through campus student governments. Below is contact information of faculty affiliated with this program at some Cal State campuses. If you are interested and your campus is not listed below, contact Dr. Stambough at (657) 278-2933 directly and we will work on developing a relationship with your campus.

Class Enrollment

Students from other campuses may enroll in the classes for our program by completing the paperwork necessary for Visitor Student status. Students must complete the Inter-Campus Visitor Form (here). Students who enroll through Visitor Status may not take other classes from other campuses including their home campus. Once the forms are processed, students will receive a campus identification number and a PIN number to be used for registration purposes. Be sure to work with our office during your enrollment process.
