  • Opening address, Stan Smith, an HR specialist at Deloitte & Touche.
  • Mr. Smith’s book, “Decoding Generational Differences: Fact, Fiction...or should we Just Get Back to Work?” is being published by Deloitte this spring. He will be bringing copies of the book with him.
10:15 - 11:30
  • Roundtable "Educating, Recruiting & Retaining the Next Generation."
  • Confirmed panelists: Jennifer Phillips, Director, Orange County Animal Shelter; Jake Wager, City Manager, City of Stanton; Connie Phillips, Human Resources, City of Anaheim; Michele Carr, Human Resources, City of Huntington Beach
11:30 - 1:00 pm
  • Lunch & Keynote address, by City Manager of Palo Alto, Frank Benest.
  • Mr. Benest is the lead author of the ICMA publication, “Preparing the Next Generation: A Guide for Current and Future Government Managers.”
