Required for the Minor

The minor consists of Political Science 100 and 18 units in Political Science, 15 of which are upper division political science courses.  The minor is easily combined with a number of different majors, especially considering that some of the upper division units can also be counted towards upper division general education requirements and as collateral fields in other majors.  It is especially easy and appropriate  for Communications and Criminal Justice Majors, for example, can easily include a Minor in Political Science in their program.  Majors in History, Philosophy and other Social Sciences often benefit from a Minor in Political Science as do those who intend to teach at either the secondary or elementary school level.
