Brief
biography: Myungjung (“MJ”) Kwon is currently
an Assistant Professor in the Division of Politics,
Administration and Justice at California State
University Fullerton. MJ received his Ph.D from
the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy
at Florida State University, defending his dissertation
entitled, “Strategic Planning Utilization in Local
Governments: Florida City Governments and Agencies.” He
teaches a variety of M.P.A. courses, including
human resource management, policy analysis, quantitative
methods, strategic management, program evaluation,
public management, and local government administration.
He is the co-author of “Three Traditions of Network
Research: What the Public Management Research Agenda
Can Learn from Other Research Communities” published
in the Public Administration Review. His current
research entitled “Understanding the Adoption and
Timing of Economic Development Strategies in U.
S. Cities Using Innovation and Institutional Analysis” has
recently been published in the Journal of Public
Administration Research and Theory.
