Brief
biography: In 2001, I earned my Bachelors degree in Criminology from Florida State University. I then completed my Master's (2003) and Ph.D. (2007) in Sociology from the University of Delaware. In 2007, I won the Association of American Colleges and Universities, K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award. In 2007, I also completed a Higher Education Teaching Certification Program. I won the Frank Scarpitti Graduate Student Award in 2006, along with a research fellowship to study public perception of stalking behavior. I am also very active in the community and was honored with the Department of Criminology, Humanitarian of the Year Award at FSU in 2001.
