Research Interests:

  • computer-based testing (particularly web-based testing and automated scoring of constructed response tasks)
  • writing materials for training teachers in language testing
  • validation studies (particularly involving the relationship between test taskcharacteristics and examinee performance)
  • development and validation of proficiency tests in multiple languages to meet Modern Language Dept. needs
  • research on CALL and TESOL teacher training.
