Our Chapter

In 2002, California State University, Fullerton, founded the Phi Gamma Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi.  It is the 506th chapter in the United States.

The Phi Gamma chapter of Sigma Delta Pi is committed to academic excellence in the Spanish discipline.  Members have consistent high academic achievement, both within the study of Spanish and in general college studies.

The CSUF chapter also seeks out students interested in assisting the community, especially Hispanic-speaking sectors.  The chapter participates in various service programs, such as tutoring high school students in Spanish and mentoring young children involved in ESL programs.

Additionally, the chapter maintains the college-level study of Spanish culture and literature by participating in various research and academic colloquia, which are attended by academics from numerous universities in Southern California.
