About The Conference

Purpose

Each year the Associación de Alumnos y Ex-alumnos de Español organizes a conference to provide a student forum on academic topics in order to stimulate reflection, motivate research, and promote future publication. It is an opportunity to explore and share diverse perspectives on literature, culture and language.

3rd Annual Literature Conference

When: Thursday, March 5, 2009, 8:00am-3:00pm

Where: Titan Student Union

Call for Papers:

The conference is student led and student centered. We invite you to attend and to submit abstracts. Papers may be written and presented in the language of your choice and should be limited to 15 minutes (maximum of 8 pages double-spaced). Previously written research papers and presentations are highly welcomed. The deadline for submission of 300 word (maximum) abstracts is Monday, February 9 .

Please submit your proposals/project descriptions to Dr. James Hussar, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, H-830 I. Email submissions will be accepted as Microsoft Word attachments; please send to jhussar@fullerton.edu.

Presentations will begin on the hour. Panelists should adhere to the 15 minute limit to allow time for questions and answers following the presentations.

Conference Planning Experience:

We are also looking for people interested in helping. This is an excellent venue to gain vital experience in planning, organizing, running and assisting a conference.
