Eligibility

Any and all CSU matriculated students with an accumulated GPA of 2.5 or better and at least 30+ units of accumulated credit are invited to apply. All majors are welcome. See specific program for application process.

Housing

You will have a choice of housing in all our programs. These are:

  • HOMESTAY (Spain and spring London Semester only): You will live with a local family, usually with one or two other American students from the program (Spring semester only).
  • APARTMENTS or STUDENT DORMITORYS (Italy and London Semester): You are housed with other Americans in one apartment with several 2-person bedrooms or a flat. The apartments and flats usually have a kitchen and bathroom that is shared. This option will cost more.

Financial Aid

There are several options for financial aid available to eligible students. Contact the Financial Aid Office in UH-146 or call (657) 278-3125.

For scholarships: see the College of Humanities & Social Sciences Scholarship web site at: http://hss.fullerton.edu/hss/sa_scholarship.aspx

CSUF Tuition & Course Registration

You are enrolling in a special program and your registration needs special handling. DO NOT REGISTER ON LINE for the courses you choose for study abroad. This will be done for you. REMEMBER that your tuition is NOT included in the program fee. Courses offered vary with each program – see specific program for course selection.

In addition to CSUF, our study abroad programs also include courses offered by faculty from CSULB. Courses taken from CSULB faculty will require a concurrent enrollment form and will show on your Fullerton transcript as UNITS TRANSFERRED. If you need to obtain a transcript of the course taken from CSULB, you will need to request that from CSULB at a nominal fee.

Passports & Visa Requirements

You must have a valid U.S. passport for the duration of the program. U.S. passport applications can be obtained at any major post office. http://www.usps.com/passport/welcome.htm

If you have a passport from a country other than the United States, you will need to contact the consulate of the country of your destination to ask about your specific Visa requirements.

You should register with the U.S. Embassy before embark on your study abroad program: https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs

*See London program for special visa requirements*

Airfare

Roundtrip airfare is sepaate from the program fee. The GROUP flight reservation form is included with the program application. You are welcome to find your own (and sometimes) cheaper airfare, if you choose. However, we advise you to be sure and coordinate your flight arrival with the GROUP flight arrival so that you can be picked up by the program coordinators and transferred to lodging or study center with the group. Check the program site for cost of group flight.
