Welcome to the American Council of Learned Societies' fellowship programs. ACLS offers fellowships and grants in over one dozen programs, for research in the humanities and humanistic social sciences at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels. Kluge Center Fellowships 
Allows qualified scholars to conduct research in the John W. Kluge Center using the Library of Congress collections & resources for 6-11 months. Fellows receive stipend of $4,000/month for residential research at the Library. Humanistic & social science research that makes use of the Library's collections is strongly encouraged. Eligible applicants are scholars who have received a terminal advanced degree within the past 7 years in the humanities, social sciences or a professional field such as architecture or law. Up to 12 Kluge Fellowships will be awarded annually. Other programs available.
