Brief biography: Professor O’Connor received his Ph.D. in ancient history, with distinction, from Columbia University in 2011. He joins CSUF after having taught for a year at Bowdoin College. His research focuses on the logistics of classical Greek warfare, and especially on what an analysis of the provisioning of Greek armies and navies can tell us about the structure and performance of economies in the classical Greek world. He has presented several papers on his research at conferences both in the U.S. and the U.K.
