Research interests: Late Antiquity, Early Islam, Coptic Studies

Brief biography: I was born in Cairo, Egypt, and immigrated to the United States with my parents in 1983. I grew up in Southern California, where I eventually compelted my Ph.D. at UCLA in 2004
