Mexico Summer Institute

This two-week summer institute will better prepare you to teach about Mexico’s past,  rich cultural heritage, and challenging future.   You will also gain the tools to facilitate meaningful discussions and activities with your students on current topics such as immigration reform, border security, education,  the U.S.-Mexico relationship, and many other relevant topics.   Come learn about one of America’s most important neighbors. (Dates:  July 21- 25, 2008)

NCTA Teach Asia

We are proud to offer  our 2008Teach Asia program.  If you or a colleague have not yet gained from this enriching program on East Asia, this is your chance to sign up.   Teachers who have completed this program enthusiastically raved about the fascinating activities and unique cultural exchanges.  This year-long program will give you the confidence to teach about Asia and give you insight into the rich cultures of China, Japan, and Korea.   Your students are sure to benefit from the expertise you will gain from this program.  

Korea Summer Institute

This three-day program is a collaborative effort sponsored by the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, Irvine Korean Parents Association, and FIRST at CSUF as part of our Program to Advance Cultural Education (PACE) partnership.   The goal of this institute is to provide understanding of Korean history and culture and its influence on education and learning in Irvine.  (Dates:  August 5-7, 2008)

Iran Summer Institute

This three-day program is a collaboration sponsored by Khayan Persian School Foundation and FIRST at CSUF as part of our Program to Advance Cultural Education (PACE) partnership.   The goal of this institute is to provide understanding of Iranian history and culture and its influence on education and learning in Irvine.    (Dates:  July 15-17, 2008)
