  • Solid Waste Characterization Database
    The commercial part of the database combines information on the numbers and
    types of businesses in a jurisdiction with information on the amounts and
    types of waste typically disposed for different business types. You can use the database to: 
    * Find out which business(es) dispose the most waste in a city 
    * For a type of business, find out what materials are disposed the most 
    * Find out which materials are disposed the most by the entire commercial sector 
    * For a type of material, find out which businesses dispose the most - site intro
  • Solid Waste Information System (SWIS) Database
    The SWIS database contains information on solid waste facilities, operations, and disposal sites throughout the State of California. The types of facilities found in this database include landfills, transfer stations, material recovery facilities, composting sites, transformation facilities, waste tire sites, and closed disposal sites. For each facility, the database contains information about location, owner, operator, facility type, regulatory and operational status, waste types received, and local enforcement agency.
