Independent
Study (ENST 599) Requirements
ENST 599 (1-3 units) requires independent work of
a research or creative nature that ends in a paper,
practical application, comprehensive exam, or relevant
performance. Units are not granted for teaching duties,
administering classes, tutoring students or for internships.
Students must find a faculty advisor on campus to supervise
this activity. It is common for students to relate
independent study activities with project/thesis research.
Prior to registration, students must submit a completed
ENST 599 Enrollment form to the ENST office. This form
must include a brief statement of purpose along with
signatures from the supervising faculty member and
the ENST Coordinator. Only upon submission of this
form to the ENST office are students permitted to register
for this course.
