Brief
biography: I earned my Ph.D in English from the University at Albany, State University of New York in 2003. After working as an assistant professor at the University of La Verne for two years, I came to Cal State Fullerton, where I am delighted to be part of a vibrant and diverse community. My academic work tends to investigate the perceived differences between rhetorical and poetic modes of textual production, particularly in new media compositions. At present I am completing an edited book collection that examines how copyright law affects the circulation of new media texts within the academic and public spheres. My essays have appeared most recently in College English, Language and Learning Across the Disciplines, and New Writing: The International Journal for the Practice and Theory of Creative Writing. My poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Conduit, Gentle Strength Quarterly, Good Foot, Literal Latte, Prism Review, and Word of Mouth
