Brief
biography: I began teaching as a part-time lecturer at CSUF in Spring 1986 while still a graduate student at the University of Southern California. Having received my Ph.D. from USC in 1991, I became a tenure-track professor here in Fullerton in the same year. My publications include books on language typology and on the Sundanese language of Java, Indonesia, as well as numerous articles, book chapters, etc. I have been Coordinator of the Linguistics program for many years and also served as either graduate adviser or undergraduate adviser in linguistics most semesters.
