Brief
biography: I received my B.A. at Claremont McKenna College in Philosophy and Psychology, then my M.A. and Ph.D, in English at U.C.L.A, concentrating in the contemporary American novel. I've been teaching at CSUF for sixteen years now, and have published fiction, literary criticism, essays, reviews, and literary journalism in a wide variety of places, including Modern Fiction Studies, College Literature, Review of Contemporary Fiction, Pacific Coast Philology, Saul Bellow Review, Killing the Buddha, The New York Observer, The American Book Review, the District Weekly, Jacaranda, and Golden Handcuffs. I was from 1996 till 2007 the Books Editor of OC Weekly. I'm currently a contributing editor to the District Weekly and am working on a novel.
