Who is the Aging Sciences Major for?

As the aging population grows, the demand for experts in aging science is increasing across medicine, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (MSTEM) fields. Unlike the Aging Studies Minor, which traditionally caters to the social sciences, the Aging Sciences Minor is a research-focused program designed for students interested in the biological, medical, and technological aspects of aging. This minor provides scientific inquiry, data analysis, and evidence-based research training, preparing students for careers in medical research, geriatric medicine, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare innovation.

By integrating aging science with MSTEM disciplines, students gain the technical expertise and research skills needed to advance medical treatments, develop cutting-edge healthcare solutions, and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries in aging sciences.
