The African American Student Welcome(August)
This informational is designed to familiarize freshman and transfer students and their parents, as well as graduate and current students to get acquainted and network with the African American Resource Center, student clubs and organizations, other students, campus departments, faculty, staff, and administrators. This event is open to incoming freshman, transfer, and current students. |

Black Consciousness Conference (November)
This conference, is held annually to bring together students who have aspirations of attending a four year university, both high school and community college students. Information was provided on financial aid opportunities, admission requirements to attend a four year university, and campus life. Student leaders representing historically black sororities and fraternities as well as CSUF Clubs and Organizations will be present to provide information on how to get involved. This event is open to both high school and community college students. The conference is a great opportunity for students to get acquainted and network with other students, as well as faculty, staff, and administrators. |

Black Consciousness Week (February)
This is an event that will give student's across the campus an opportunity to learn more about the African American Resource Center and the Black Student Union. |

Community Dialogue (March)
This dialogue is an opportunity for students, their families, and the surrounding community to discuss important issues facing the black community. This year’s theme is meant to address the overwhelming 50% of black college students, across the nation, who drop out before they graduate. The event is open to current students, faculty, staff, as well as the surrounding community. Student leaders representing historically black sororities and fraternities as well as CSUF Clubs and Organizations will be present to volunteer their thoughts and opinions on the subject as well. |

Culture Night Awards Banquet (April)
Culture Night is an awards banquet with live music and soul food where the historically black clubs and organizations come together and celebrate their heritage through food, music, dance, and awards. Scholarships and awards may be presented at this event. It is open to all CSUF students, faculty, and staff. |
