GENERAL FUNDS


 

These funds are for discretionary use by the departments. These funds are often used to support faculty and student research opportunities and to host educational and outreach events to benefit the programs.

DIRECTED GIVING


 

These funds are directed to support a particular program. If you would like more information about any of these programs, please contact the Division office and we will be happy to discuss any of them with you.

 

  • Alan Saltzstein Excellence Scholarship Fund - Named after Dr. Alan Saltzstein (Emeriti Professor of Political Science), this fund provides scholarships to outstanding Masters in Public Administration students.
  • Charles Bell Faculty Fund - Named after Dr. Charles Bell (Emeriti Professor of Political Science) this fund provides support for faculty research.
  • City Management Fellowship Program (CMFP) - This fund provides support for students who wish to develop essential management skills and gain invaluable experience in the field by having the unique opportunity to be paired with an Orange County public manager who serves as mentor for the duration of the academic year.
  • Irving Stone Award Fund - This fund provides support for the Irving Stone Award, which provides a scholarship for the Best MPA Student Paper.
  • Julian Foster Award Fund - This fund provides support for the Julian Foster Award, which provides a scholarship to an outstanding student in Political Philosophy.
  • Karl Kahrs Study Abroad Endowed Scholarship - Named after Dr. Karl Kahrs (Emeriti Professor of Political Science), this fund provides scholarships for Political Science and Public Administration students who are studying abroad in a European Union country.
  • Masters of Public Administration (MPA) Alumni Scholarship Fund - This fund provides support for undergraduate Public Administration students (junior/senior standing) who demonstrate both financial need and a strong interest in a public service career.
  • Masters of Public Administration (MPA) Internship Fund - This fund provides scholarships for Masters in Public Administration students during their internship experience.
  • Moot Court Fund - This fund provides support for the Moot Court Program to travel to regional and national tournaments.
  • Political Science Graduate Student Research  - This fund provides support for graduate students to present papers at regional and national Political Science conferences.
  • Stacy R. Mungo Endowed Scholarship Fund  - Named after alumnus Stacy Mungo, this fund supports an annual scholarship for an undergraduate student in Public Administration.
  • Washington DC Internship Endowment - This fund provides support for student scholarships and program expenses for the Washington DC Internship program.
  • William Julius Faculty Development Fund - Named after Dr. Bill Julius, this fund supports the professional development of our adjunct faculty in the Division
